Art Gallery of Western Australia The States Art collection includes one of the finest collections of Aboriginal Art in Australia. There are tours available on 1pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday. Entry is free to the main gallery, however exhibitions usually cost. Discounts are available for students (and probably if you just make yourself look really impoverished).

Craftwest - Centre for Contemporary Craft Represents Western Australia's highest quality contemporary craft. It showcases work by leading Western Australian, national and international practitioners.

Open: Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday noon-5pm

Delaney Galleries The Delaney Gallery was opened in 1978 by Allan Delaney. It Exhibits leading Australian Artists , but also supports emerging artists, particularly those working with innovative media.

Perth Institute of Contemporary Arts (PICA) An exciting visual, performing, and media art centre, where visitors can experience the work of local, Australian, and international contemporary artists and companies. It has ongoing seasons in contemporary dance, theatre etc.

Greenhill Gallery Established for more than 25 years. Showcasing an array of local interstate and overseas artists. Committed to showing a stronger contingent of Western Australian artists, both established and up-and-coming. Exhibitions are changed monthly

Fremantle Arts Centre A magnificent Neo-Gothic Style building constructed in 1860 (originally as a looney asylum) The Art Centres diverse programme includes exhibitions, creative arts courses and free Sunday concerts in Summer.

The Moore's Building The Moore's building is a contemporary gallery in the west end of Fremantle. Art School Graduates display their work here and Art Awards and prizes are displayed in the Gallery. The building itself was constructed in the 1860s

Gallery East Gallery East displays contemporary and traditional art of Asian countries. The Gallery carries a range of Japanese print from the 18th Century to the present, as well as monthly exhibitions focusing on Chinese, Indian, Japanese and South-East Asian cultures.
